Photographer Jody Johnson captured his hometown in the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew in 2016. Flooding devastated the small Columbus County town of about 1,000 residents.

Robert Johnson submitted this time-lapse video from his weather camera taken on Saturday, Oct. 8, from 1 p.m. until 6:24 p.m., when he lost power. Total rainfall recorded was 12.43". You can see the rain/temp reading from his weather station on WeatherUnderground (KNCPRINC1) just East of Pine Level in Johnston County.
