The North Carolina Zoo will remain closed through Wednesday as crews continue to clean up from Sunday's snow and ice storm.
"After initial assessments, many of the Zoo’s service roads, trails and pathways are deemed impassable because of fallen trees and icy conditions," according to a news release. "Only essential personnel and zookeepers caring for animals are currently working onsite."

The zoo has more than 500 acres and five miles of trails to clear before it can reopen to the public. It's also caring for 1,600 animals, who are getting to enjoy the winter weather for themselves. They shared some pictures of grizzlies in snow on their Facebook page.
