Raleigh police surrounded the Dysart Willis law firm on Blount Street Friday afternoon after a shooting that startled the community.
The law firm's employees believe the office was the target of a drive-by shooting.

Someone drove by the building at 507 North Blount Street and opened fire around 3 p.m.
Several attorneys and other employees were inside, but no one was injured.
Witnesses said they heard several shots, and one of the bullets pierced the side of the building.
A second bullet went through the window of an SUV parked in front of the law firm.
The car's owner, Lynn Scott, was working at a wedding venue nearby. She said she was terrified when she saw the bullet holes.
“The first one went through on the drive side which would have been at my head, and it came out through the passenger side where my grandson sits, so seeing the shattered glass all over his car seat is kind of surreal,” she said.
Scott said she was shaken by the fact that she and her grandson could have been in the car.
"No one had regards that someone could have been in the car, we could have lost of us today,” she said.
Sources told WRAL News that Raleigh police have an idea who is responsible for the shooting because of a surveillance camera mounted on the outside of the law firm.
