An Asheville brewery is expanding its footprint in downtown Raleigh.
Burial Beer Co. opened an exhibit space adjacent to Transfer Co. Food Hall at 500 E. Davie St. in January. Billed as an "exploratory space" by its curators, the exhibit is the first of its kind for Raleigh and tells the story of Burial through art and beer. The space is quite small and only holds a limited number of guests.

"We have only been open two months and the vibe has slowly softened into what we envisioned as the hang out room of people of like interests. But hey, we live in an organic world. Growth is a function of our environment and the nourishment we get from the crowd. It happened in Asheville, now its happening in Raleigh," owners wrote in a post on Instagram last week.
"So we kept our head to the pavement, felt out the character and now intend upon creating the killer experience that the Triangle deserves. We are expanding. We have agreed to take on additional space that will link our current Exhibit space across the Davie Street storefront over to the newly announced Longleaf Swine BBQ space. We are pumped that the Long Leaf gents are joining the experience at Transfer adjacent to our new digs."
In addition to the expansion plans, owners said they will also be adding an outdoor patio space, can shop, bathroom sand a direct connection into Transfer Co. Food Hall.
Burial has also updated its hours to include Wednesdays. The Raleigh location is now open Wednesday through Friday 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., noon to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and noon to 6 p.m. on Sundays.
