Recall: Purina Muse cat food due to possible rubber pieces

Nestlé Purina PetCare Company has recalled select Muse cat food products because they may contain rubber pieces.

The specific recalled products includes Muse wet cat food Natural Chicken Recipe in Gravy in three-ounce cans with the UPC code 38100 17199, a Best Buy Date of APR2020 and Production Code 80941162.  The rubber pieces are translucent yellow with a blue backing.

According to the FDA recall notice, there have been no "reports to date of injury or illness to cats fed this product."

The products were distributed nationwide at pet specialty and e-commerce retailers.
