Some Wake County Public School System member schools will release three hours early on Friday.
Traffic in and around several schools is expected to be heavy for Knightdale police officer Ryan Hayworth's funeral procession.

Several roads will be closed in eastern Wake County. To avoid carpool delays and late bus runs, more than a dozen schools will let out early.

Hayworth died last weekend when his police vehicle was hit by a suspected drunk driver on I-540.
