A car chase in Durham ended when the driver crashed his car into a tree and power pole.
The Durham County Sheriff's Office said a deputy attempted to pull over the man on Cheek Road, but he refused to stop. The sheriff's office said the man continued to drive down Clayton Road when he ran off the side of the road, hitting a power pole and tree.

He was taken into custody and is being treated for minor injuries at the hospital, the sheriff's office said.
The sheriff's office said Duke Energy will be out later to replace the pole. The road remains open.
