Building-sized superhero float flies through Raleigh Christmas Parade

WakeMed Health and Hospital carried a gigantic, eye-catching balloon that absolutely filled the street. The building-sized balloon features Twinkle, the WakeMed Children's mascot, flying through the parade like a superhero.

Uh The intersection of the Hill Hillsborough there

Uh As the parade was stepping off this was a

monstrosity

I just love it here

Wakemed offers comprehensive medical services and first class facilities

Of course they also make a pretty good balloon

It looks like they are committed to improving the health

and well being of the community providing outstanding and compassionate

care

A twinkle is the Wakemed children's mascots twinkle and the

wakemed employees

Wish you happy holidays

That is impressive

Very impressive

So cool to see that giant Captain America there

And we were wondering about the breeze today and whether

that was cause any issues for the giant balloons for

the Raleigh Christmas parade

That perhaps was just the one caveat on this otherwise

glorious forecast for the parade

And it looks like they are handling it like pros

Of course they've got a whole team an army of

folks uh walking that giant balloon and making sure that

everything stays safe with Captain America

I noticed that they're holding those ropes just a little

bit tighter and they're they're holding it down closer to

the street than they probably normally would than to let

that Captain America up and flying

But uh yeah you don't want the wind to be

scooping that thing up

So it is perfect

It's closer for the folks who are watching it on

the sidewalks there

Good protocol safety first

And yeah Captain America looks a little low to the

street but that's ok

The kids can then get an up close view of

one of their favorite superheroes
