Six apartments were destroyed in a large fire at an apartment complex in Spring Lake Tuesday.
Around 10:30 a.m., authorities said the fire started on a third floor balcony at The Brooks on Eleven66, located on Pine Knoll Drive. Six apartments were destroyed in the fire, authorities said.

No one was hurt in the fire, according to authorities.
A bystander shared the first photos and video with WRAL News. Large flames could be seen coming from the building, with thick smoke filling the air.
At 12:15 p.m., when WRAL crews arrived at the scene, the fire was still burning inside the building. Multiple apartments appeared to be badly damaged, and the roof and outside of the building were badly charred.
Portions of the roof collapsed due to the fire, and other parts of the roof were gone completely.
Spring Lake Mayor Kia Anthony said the Red Cross currently estimates that 90 individuals are without a home after the fire.
She said the Red Cross has secured United Church for sheltering these residents. Emergency Services will be setting up a shower trailer for their use, and we are reaching out to Elaine Smith, director of Cumberland County Animal Services, to assist with sheltering pets.
