The westbound lanes of U.S. Highway 70 were closed at Leesville Road due to a 12-car pileup near U.S. 70 and Copper Leaf Parkway Wednesday morning.
Durham police said multiple injuries have been reported, but at this point all injuries appear to be non-life-threatening.
