A driver is expected to face charges after crashing into a Raleigh Police SUV Monday morning, the police department said.

An RPD officer was standing outside of his SUV checking out a crash when a car hit the officer’s SUV from behind, according to police. This happened on Interstate 440 West near Capital Boulevard.

Police said the driver who hit the police car was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

That driver is expected to face charges for failing to yield and failing to move over, police said.
