A man was shot and killed Sunday night in a Hoke County neighborhood.
At 9:41 p.m., deputies responded to a shooting at the intersection of Huckabee Street and Phillipi Church Road, where they found a man who had been shot. Christopher Purcell, 44, was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.
