Police have charged an 18-year-old from New York in connection with the Aug. 17 death of Tyler Ray Wood in Wake Forest.
Around 3 a.m. on Aug. 17, Wood, 29, was found in the 1000 block of East Wait Avenue with gunshot wounds, according to Wake Forest police.

He was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries, where he later died.
On Aug. 27, Issac Mason, 18, of Long Island, N.Y., was arrested in Stony Brook, N.Y., and charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and murder.
The Wake Forest Police Department coordinated with local, state, and federal agencies in North Carolina and New York to locate, capture and arrest Mason, who is currently being held in Suffolk County, N.Y., pending extradition to North Carolina.
