A shooting in Midland, Texas, has left one person dead and injured several others. That's according to Mayor Lori Blong. Police say the possible suspect in the shooting was in a standoff with officers.
NBC News reported an active shooter inside a building on West Wall Street in the city.

The scene was quickly secured and the area cleared, but efforts to end the standoff remain ongoing, the city said in a Facebook post.
