Taylor Farms is recalling all products made with fresh jalapenos after their parent distributor, Coast Citrus Distributors, voluntarily recalled fresh jalapenos due to potential salmonella contamination.
Popular affected items are dips and salsas. These items were sold at Hannaford grocery, Kroger, Target, Trader Joes, Walmart, and Whole Foods. The FDA provides a full list of recalled items and the stores them.

The FDA and CDC is working with local state health departments to investigate a multi-state outbreak of salmonella linked to fresh jalapenos by Coast Citrus.
Salmonella can cause fever, diarrhea, vomiting and abdominal pain in healthy adults. Children, elderly people and those with weakened immune systems can have serious, sometimes fatal, reactions to the organism.
Taylor Farms said they are no longer using products from this farm and will be using alternative suppliers.
The recalled products were distributed to retail distribution centers in the following states, with a “Best if used by” date up to and including Aug. 16, 2026.
