A downtown Raleigh nightclub has lost its liquor license after four people were shot there earlier this month.
WRAL News covered the Aug. 23 shooting at Alive, located at 414 Fayetteville Street. Four people were shot after a fight inside the club escalated, according to police. All four people were expected to survive their injuries.

Officers with Wake County ABC Law Enforcement began an investigation after the agency was contacted by Raleigh police, interviewing witnesses and nearby businesses on Fayetteville Street.
The club owner surrendered her permits to the ABC Commission on Aug. 28 after a civil violation report was completed and submitted, according to officials, who wrote in a statement to WRAL News:
"The escalation of violence at Alive has become a public safety hazard for patrons and those who live and visit downtown Raleigh."
ABC Law Enforcement said officials "stayed in communication with the club owner and notified her of our intentions" throughout the week.
The agency released the following statement:
"Wake County ABC is pleased that a resolution was reached, and our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and those that were affected by the shooting. We are thankful to the Raleigh Police Department and for the members of the community that assisted in this investigation."
