Two Apex parents were arrested this week after they allegedly injured and neglected a child, according to arrest warrants.
Wake County deputies arrested 48-year-old Cleavon Bridges on Wednesday. Warrants say he hit his 12-year-old child with a belt, causing serious injuries to the child's thigh and shin.

Deputies arrested 45-year-old Amanda Bridges on Thursday. She is accused of neglecting the child, resulting in the child's injuries.
Cleavon Bridges was released from the Wake County Detention Center on Thursday after posting a $75,000 bond. Court records show he was ordered to stay away from the family's home and have no contact with his wife and kids while the case is pending.
Amanda Bridges is being held on a $20,000 bond. Court records show she was ordered to have no contact with the child she is accused of neglecting.
Both are scheduled to appear in court Sept. 16 at the Wake County Courthouse.
