A person was hurt after a bear entered a home in Asheville.
It happened on Tuesday night around 9 p.m.

The North Carolina Wildlife Commission, Buncombe County EMS, and the Reems Creek and Asheville Fire Departments responded to the scene.
Firefighters said it appeared the female bear opened an unlocked door to get inside. The bear and her three cubs left the scene before crews arrived.
Crews said the person was hurt when trying to escape the home. Their condition and the extent of their injuries have not been released at this time.
The Reems Creek Fire Department posted on social media about the encounter:
"We remind residents in areas with active bear populations to use caution, secure potential food sources and other attractants, and keep doors and windows secured. Please do not approach or attempt to interact with a bear," the fire department said.
