Commercial runways at Raleigh-Durham International Airport were closed for a short period of time Sunday afternoon, according to a spokesperson.
The RDU spokesperson said an incident with a small general aviation airplane caused the closure around 1:30 p.m.

"The commercial runways reopened about 20 minutes after and normal operations resumed," the RDU spokesperson said.
No additional information was shared, but there were no injuries.
FlightAware showed that three planes were diverted during the closure.
