A car hit a Johnston County school bus carrying 23 students to Thanksgiving Elementary School on Tuesday morning.
The crash occurred around 8:30 a.m. on Hunter Lane in a northern Johnston County neighborhood. Although the bus was delayed for over an hour, there were no injuries to the bus riders or the bus driver.

The other car involved was heavily damaged, and the WRAL Breaking News Tracker learned at the scene that the 81-year-old driver was evaluated by Johnston County EMS. The driver was not transported to a hospital.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
