A man is on the run Monday after police said he carjacked someone in Raleigh and ran away in Wake Forest.
According to the Wake Forest Police Department, the carjacking happened around 3 p.m. in front of a Hobby Lobby on Capital Boulevard. The victim was not injured during the carjacking.

Witnesses told WRAL News said the carjacking unfolded very quickly, with the suspect pushing the woman away from her vehicle and speeding off without hesitation.
One of the witnesses, Cesar Rodriguez, believed he was just minutes away from suffering the same fate.
"They almost blocked me in," he said. "I reacted fast enough, turned my car and drove off."
After a brief pursuit, the suspect abandoned the vehicle in the Tyler Run Subdivision at Durham Road and ran from the scene.
Sometime later, Wake Forest police officers found the suspect and the stolen vehicle, a Mercedes-Benz C-300.
Neighbors in the subdivision said they were shaken up knowing that the suspect ran from the scene in their neighborhood.
"It shook up my wife," Rodriguez said. "She was around when it happened and she saw the event happened. You never see it, personally, in real life. It let's you know where you are as a community."
Police officers from Wake Forest and Raleigh, along with the Wake County Sheriff's Office search the area for nearly two hours but were unable to find him.
Police are urging residents to lock their doors and call 911 if they see anything suspicious.
