A carjacking is under investigation in Carrboro after a man stole someone's vehicle while showing a gun.
Carrboro police said a man approached someone sitting in a vehicle in a parking lot along Roberson Street on Wednesday just after 5 p.m. The suspect brandished a gun and stole the car.

The vehicle involved is a gold 2008 BMW. Officers are looking for the man involved. The suspect was described as a thin Black male in the late teens to early 20s age range.
The carjacking was isolated and poses no threat to the community.
Police are investigating.
