A 16-year-old has been charged in connection with a Chapel Hill carjacking from April 5.
The crime occurred at the Carolina Square Parking Deck near the intersection of Franklin and Columbia streets around 12:43 a.m. A UNC student's vehicle was stolen at gunpoint and later found in Durham.

Chapel Hill police said the teenager was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon. The teen is in custody in a different jurisdiction after a separate incident.
Because of the suspect's age, their name was not released.
The student was not hurt.
