Durham City Hall will be opening late on Wednesday after a power outage.
As of 8 a.m., Duke Energy reported around 3,000 customers were without power just east of downtown, with outages reported in the areas of Pettigrew Street, Alston Avenue, Lawson Street and Angier Avenue.

In downtown Durham, around 18 customers are without power.
There are more than 4,000 outages statewide, many blamed on overnight storms in the Triangle.
Durham City Hall is scheduled to open late at 11 a.m.
The city of Durham said crews were working to restore power to city hall and that it would provide updates at this link.
