Some residents woke up to sirens and smoke after a reported apartment fire in Durham on Friday morning.
Fire crews responded to the call around 1:30 a.m. at the Emory Woods RTP apartments near Cornwallis Road.

Durham firefighters appeared to clear the way for smoke ventilation before allowing people to return inside.
