Police are investigating after someone was shot late Thursday night.
According to police, the call came in around 11:30 p.m. Thursday. Officers said the victim was found in south Durham at an apartment complex parking lot off Ellis Road.

Police said they believe the shooting actually happened somewhere else in north Durham.
As of 3 a.m., the scene was still active. The WRAL Breaking News Tracker arrived at the apartment complex to find investigators focusing on a black car with at least two bullet holes in it.
Police have not released details about the victim or their status.
