Heavy rain and storms left hundreds of Durham residents in the dark on Thursday night.

Around 7:30 p.m., Duke Energy reported more than 800 customers without power after several fallen trees took down powerlines. Crews worked to restore most of the outages but there were some residents still impacted by the blackout.

As of early Friday morning, that number was down to around 120 people without electricity. The outage also left traffic signals out of service. The WRAL Breaking News Tracker was there as utility workers made repairs near North Duke Street and Club Boulevard.  

Energy crews finished restorations by 4:15 a.m.
