Hargett Street detours begin in downtown Raleigh Monday morning

Drivers in downtown Raleigh should expect street closures and possible delays this week.

Hargett Street will be closed between Fayetteville Street and South Wilmington Street. The northbound lane of Fayetteville Street will also be closed between East Martin Street and East Morgan Street.

The closures are scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. Monday, Aug. 24, and continue through 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27.

Traffic on Hargett Street will be detoured to Martin and Morgan streets.

Drivers are encouraged to follow posted detour signs and use caution around the work zone.
