A Harnett County man is in custody after being accused of shooting at a vehicle with a man inside.
Joseph Patterson, 63, is charged with attempted first-degree murder, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, and two counts of discharging a weapon into an occupied vehicle.

It happened on Tuesday at the Seminole Mart #3 on 7162 US Highway 421 in Lillington. Deputies responded to a reported shooting. They say it happened after Patterson and another driver got into a verbal fight.
Deputies have not said if the other driver was injured.
Patterson was taken to the Harnett County Detention Center. He received no bond.
