Hundreds of people were without power in east Cary and west Raleigh on Wednesday morning.
At 7 a.m., Duke Energy's outage map showed nearly 700 customers without power in the areas of Cary Towne Boulevard, Western Boulevard and Farm Gate Road, right off Interstate 40.

Duke Energy said the outage was caused by equipment going offline.
The outage appeared to be resolved by 9 a.m.
