A man is in jail on Thursday after he was arrested in a Johnston County drug operation.

According to the Johnston County Sheriff's Office, deputies with the sheriff's office's narcotics division and U.S. federal agents searched a home on Richardson-Bass Road in the Kenly area of Johnston County.

When they got inside, they found the following:

  • Around 131 grams of heroin (about 0.29 pounds).
    • Around 65.8 grams of orange methamphetamine pills (about 0.15 pounds).
      • Around 12 pounds of marijuana, which the sheriff's office said was a "trafficking quantity."
        • $25,371 cash.

          Deputies arrested Manuel Rivera Sanchez, who was under probation for distributing meth. He was arrested and charged with:

          • Trafficking in heroin.
            • Trafficking in methamphetamines.
              • Trafficking in marijuana.
                • Felony maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance.
                  • Possession of drug paraphernalia.

                    Sanchez's bond was set at $1.1 million for the charges.
