Students released from Jordan High School in Durham after lockdown lifted

Jordan High School students left the school just after 5 p.m. Wednesday, after a lockdown was lifted.

Durham police responded around 4:03 p.m. Wednesday to the school to help the Durham County Sheriff's Office in response to a report of a weapon on campus. Officers searched the campus, and the lockdown was cleared after authorities found no threat.

The school was put on lockdown around 4 p.m. Wednesday as authorities searched.

The school typically dismisses at 4:15 p.m. on weekdays.
