The sister of a teenage boy killed in Garner in 2004 shared an emotional plea as new developments in his death arise.
On Thursday, Alyssa Hatcher took to social media, asking anyone with information to come forward and share what happened that night.

“I’m not coming at you with anger as Josh’s little sister,” Hatcher said. “You just tell us what happened that night.”
Her brother, Josh Davis, has been the subject of a homicide cold case for more than 20 years. Investigators had initially called it a hit-and-run, but police later said they believe he was murdered.
Earlier this month, new details led to a person of interest in the case being identified as a Four Oaks police officer, bringing hope to the long-cold case.
Police said Josh Davis and a friend had just left his mother's house and were walking along Hall Boulevard at around 7 p.m. on January 6, 2004, to his father's home in the same neighborhood.
The friend said he ran back to his mother's house to get a CD and a shirt.
When he came back, he found Davis on the side of the road.
Hatcher said she was just 13 years old that night and had originally planned to go for a walk with him that night.
“My best friend had called me up and asked me if I wanted to go shopping at Kohl’s,” she said. “You know, I have that regret of like, ‘oh my gosh, I should have not gone to Kohl’s that night shopping.”
She told WRAL News she is now putting her regrets aside to focus on helping to close her brother’s case.
“I truly know so many people in Garner know something,” Hatcher continued.
She's asking anyone who might know anything to reach out to the police or to her.
The extent of the officer's involvement is still unclear. They have been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
