UNC police did not find a credible threat at Kenan Stadium after searching the venue for several hours Thursday.

Police said 911 dispatchers received a call about a bomb threat targeting the stadium at 3:11 p.m. Those inside the stadium were asked to leave while investigators searched the facility.

The university alerted the public through its social media channels just before 5 p.m. Police asked people to avoid the area, and a police vehicle blocked a road leading to the stadium.

Around 7:15 p.m., police said they did not find any credible threat.
