A man was arrested on multiple charges on Sunday after deputies in Robeson County said the person stole a truck and crashed into multiple vehicles.

According to the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy tried to pull over a stolen truck around 5:30 p.m. The driver of the stolen truck refused to pull over and the deputy began chasing it.

Deputies backed off the truck after it entered Red Springs, but kept it in their line of sight. The truck then crashed into two other vehicles at the intersection of Main Street and Sixth Avenue.

Both the suspect, who deputies did not identify, and the driver of one of the cars the suspect hit were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office said they, along with other law enforcement agencies, are investigating.
