The Wake County Sheriff's Office arrested two men in connection to a shooting that left a man seriously hurt Tuesday, June 24 on Hodge Road near Wendell.
On Tuesday, July 1, deputies arrested 21-year-old Jaleak Horton and 45-year-old Christopher Little. They were both charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.

Deputies responded to reports of shots fired around 11:50 p.m.
They found a man with gunshot wounds, according to the sheriff's office. He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Deputies also said a nearby home was hit by gunfire.
Neighbors called 911 to report the sound of gunshots and car leaving the scene.

"One of the callers says there may be a silver Honda Civic and a Black Mustang that took off ... they believe the shots may have come from Alfreda Court."

Horton and Little are both scheduled to appear in court for the first time Wednesday afternoon.
The Wake County Sheriff's Office says the investigation is ongoing.
