Deputies: 68-year-old suspect found dead after stabbing brother to death in Spring Lake

A man was stabbed to death early Wednesday in Cumberland County.

Cumberland County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a report of a stabbing before 5 a.m. Wednesday at the 2500 block of East Brinkley Drive in Spring Lake. They found 64-year-old Donald Snow dead with a stab wound. His next of kin was notified, according to the sheriff's office. 

Deputies said his brother, 68-year-old George Snow Jr. was the suspect in Donald's death. He was wanted for first-degree murder.

On 1:43 p.m. Thursday, Cumberland County deputies found George Snow Jr. dead in the woods along Lillington Highway near Daly Avenue in Spring Lake.

Deputies said there is no threat to the public.
