Metallica, one of the most successful and influential heavy metal bands of all time, is coming to Raleigh.
The band's M72 World Tour will come to Carter-Finley Stadium on June 2, 2027.

Metallica's career has spanned more than four decades and included multiple worldwide tours featuring songs from acclaimed albums such as Master of Puppets and its self-titled release, commonly known as "The Black Album."
Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Sept. 25. Local presales will take place on Sept. 24.
Metallica last played in Raleigh in January 2019 at Lenovo Center and previously performed in the city in 1992 at Walnut Creek Amphitheatre.
The tour will begin May 8 at BC Place in Vancouver, British Columbia, and end at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah. Limp Bizkit and Avatar will be the supporting acts.
In July, Carter-Finley hosted concerts by Guns N' Roses and Noah Kahan.
