Person killed in construction site accident in Apex, town says

A person is dead after an apparent construction accident on Monday in Apex.

According to the Town of Apex, police officers were called around 5 p.m. about an accident at a construction site on Humie Olive Road.

The town confirmed that one person is dead.

A spokesperson for the town said crews will be at the site "for a while" while they investigate what happened.
