Raleigh police arrested a man who had 140 pounds of marijuana and other drugs in May.

At the time of his arrest, police said Michael Goldblatt from Raleigh had around 0.64 pounds of MDMA, commonly known as ecstasy. Police said Goldblatt also had about 6 pounds of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Goldblatt was charged with:

  • Trafficking MDMA
    • Trafficking marijuana
      • Possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a Schedule I controlled substance
        • Possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver a Schedule VI controlled substance
          • Two counts of felony maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances

            Detectives later connected Goldblatt to a storage unit on Atlantic Avenue in Raleigh. 

            There detectives found around 140 pounds of marijuana and three pounds of psilocybin mushrooms.

            After the discovery, Goldblatt was charged with:

            • Conspiracy to traffic marijuana
              • Possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver a Schedule I controlled substance
                • Possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver a Schedule VI controlled substance
                  • Felony maintaining a place for controlled substances

                    Police said the investigation is ongoing.

                    Goldblatt's next court date is scheduled for July 7.
