Registered sex offender arrested at Fayetteville daycare in October 2023 crackdown

Cumberland County sheriff's deputies arrested 26-year-old Calvin William Elliot, a registered sex offender, on Tuesday after he was accused of being seen at a child daycare. He is expected in court on Wednesday.

A man, who is a registered sex offender, was arrested on Tuesday after he was accused of being seen at a child daycare.

On Tuesday, Cumberland County sheriff’s deputies arrested 26-year-old Calvin William Elliot after reports of him being seen at a daycare on Sandhill Road in Fayetteville.

Deputies said surveillance video showed Elliot enter the building around 5:55 p.m. He was arrested and charged with a Sex Offender on a Child Premises.

Deputies said Elliot has previously been arrested for Sex Offender on a Child Premises on Sept. 18.

Elliot is being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center without bond. He is expected in court on Wednesday, Oct. 8, at 2:30 p.m.
