Surveillance footage captured the moments a car collided with a train in Rocky Mount.
Police said officers were called around 2:40 p.m. on Wednesday for reports of a crash involving a car and an Amtrak train at the Bassett Street railroad crossing.

Officers said Tai Vu, 34, was seen driving around an activated crossing arm while a train was passing. The video shows that the car Vu was driving collided with Amtrak's first train car.
No injuries were reported, police said.
Vu faces several charges, including failure to stop for railroad crossing arms, careless and reckless driving and no operator’s license.
The train’s engine was damaged from the crash, temporarily closing the tracks and the crossing for hours. It has since reopened.
