A student at Hillside High School is facing charges after pepper spray was used during a fight at the school during a lunch period.
The Durham County Sheriff's office said a student used pepper spray and set a trash can on fire at the school.

The pepper spray affected five people. A teacher was transported to the hospital as a result of injuries sustained from the pepper spray.
The student is facing charges of assault, assault on a government official and arson.
