An October 2027 trial date has been set for the Fuquay-Varina teen charged with killing his sister and injuring his brother.
Jackson Borrello is charged with murder in the February death of his 12-year-old sister, Clara. Borrello is also charged with assaulting his nine-year-old brother. Police say it happened at a home on Tobacco Barn Road.

Investigators found a knife and hammer near the children’s bodies, according to the search warrants.
During a court hearing the case on Thursday, a judge set a trial date for October 25, 2027. Search warrants in the case indicate Borrello FaceTimed a friend and told him, “I did it. I did something, and you'll find out.”
The friend called 911 over concerns Borrello was going to harm himself.
