Part of the highway reopened after a motorcycle accident earlier Friday evening.
The incident happened shortly after 9 p.m. Friday, according to the Raleigh Police Department.

A motorcyclist crashed on I-40 eastbound near Jones Franklin Road.
Police say two people were on the motorcycle at the time of the crash, and both were transported to the hospital. Their injuries are unknown.
After the incident occurred, two eastbound lanes were closed.
They are now reopened.
