A person was caught in the crossfire of a fight they weren't involved in early Sunday morning, Raleigh police said.
Officers responded to a shooting call on the 400 block of Glenwood Avenue around 2:20 a.m. Preliminary investigations determined that the shooting started following a fight.

When officers arrived, they found one person with gunshot wounds who appeared to have been uninvolved in the initial altercation. That person was taken to the hospital with seemingly non-life threatening injuries.
Raleigh police charged three men in connection to this incident, all of whom were charged with starting a riot.
Twenty-six-year-old Stephan Jordan Bryant, 25-year-old Keyshawn Jamaal Bryant and 26-year-old Jayden Lee Draughn were arrested. Raleigh police confirmed that both Bryants are brothers.
Stephan Bryant was additionally charged with assault with a deadly weapon and discharging a firearm in city limits.
People who live downtown told WRAL News this is no rare occurrence in the Glenwood South social district. Some say they feel “it happens all the time.”
“It’s not that surprising to me,” said Ethan Plummer who lives downtown.
In November at least two people were shot in a similar situation.
And in July police responded to three separate shootings off of Glenwood South in one night, two people were hurt.
People in the area say they should be able leave their homes without having to fear for their lives.
“It’s definitely something that I think about anytime I do go out,” Plummer continued. “Even going to the grocery store, sometimes it’s kind of stressful thinking about the possibility of a shooting.”
WRAL News is working to learn more about the fight that led up to the shooting, the person who was injured and also the relationship between the three suspects.
