A woman died Thursday after suffering a medical emergency during a fight at a Fayetteville Golden Corral.
According to the Fayetteville Police Department, officers were called around 2:34 p.m. to the Golden Corral restaurant off Skibo Road for reports of a “physical disturbance” and shots fired. Police said their investigation suggested a physical altercation occurred, but they couldn't confirm whether shots were fired.

During the incident, police said a woman suffered a medical emergency unrelated to the initial altercation. The woman was taken to a hospital, where she later died.
Police said their investigation into the fight is ongoing and that more information will be released as it becomes available. The Golden Corral and its parking lot remain closed while police investigate.
