The Zebulon Devil Dogz will be hosting free celebrations Thursday as the team gets ready to take the field for the first time.
The team will be hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the newly renamed Nomaco Park, which was previously known as Five County Stadium.

Immediately following the ceremony until 7 p.m., the team will host a fan fest that will let people meet players and coaches, grab autographs, enjoy some activities and more. The event is free, but people wanting to attend will need to RSVP for a ticket at this link.
Opening night is on Friday, May 22.
The venue previously known Five County Stadium was previously home to the Carolina Mudcats. The team owners announced in 2023 that after more than 30 years they would move to a new $69 million stadium in Wilson near Whirligig Park. The Mudcats are now the Wilson Warbirds, the Class-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers.
The Devil Dogz have a partnership with Ozball Australia, meaning Zebulon’s roster will exclusively feature college players from Australia.
Capitol Broadcasting Company, WRAL’s parent company, took over day-to-day operations of Nomaco Park in January.
Nomaco Park will host a Coastal Plain League baseball team each season, as well as Wake Tech Community College’s baseball, softball, and men's and women’s soccer games.
