Zebulon Police Chief Jacqui Boykin is stepping down from her position after four years.
Zebulon Deputy Police Chief Bob Grossman will serve as Interim Police Chief for the Zebulon Police Department effective Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025. Deputy Chief Grossman assumes the role after 25 years of law enforcement with the Zebulon police.

Boykin’s last day with the agency is Dec. 31. She has accepted the chief of police role in Woodfin, North Carolina.
“The Town of Zebulon is grateful to Deputy Chief Bob Grossman for stepping into this role and continuing the steadfast leadership of our Zebulon Police Department,” said Taiwo Jaiyeoba, Interim Town Manager of Zebulon. “DC Grossman has a wealth of law enforcement experience as well as special insight into the ZPD and our community after 25 years of service with the agency. I am grateful for his dedication to our Town and his willingness to carry on the legacy Chief Boykin has left for us.”
