A child is dead after being found unresponsive in a swimming pool at a Myrtle Beach resort, WMBF reports.
The six-year-old, who was visting from Sanford, North Carolina, was found unresponsive on Aug. 8 in a swimming pool at the Caribbean Resort on Ocean Boulvard near 31st Avenue North.

He was taken to the hospital, where he died Tuesday.
The Myrtle Beach Police Department is investigating.
A cause of death was not released.
